Any suggestions for stay around Escondido? I'm taking the husband and pup. We'd need electric and clean restrooms and showers available. It is a birthday gift and I'm looking for somewhere nice for my almost 65 year old sweetie.

Which direction are you coming from and on what freeway? For me to suggest a place I need to know what you plan to do here, where you plan to go and what type of places you like....and I never stay here...I always leave and go somewhere else...

Hi Sue, no suggestions just hadn't said hi for awhile. Are you heading up to see your brother this year?

I'm coming from Whittier - Escondido Toyota has a 1972 Toyota carina on display, fully refurbished stock. It matches the one my husband owns and we want to check it out. More exciting than the wild animal park for us!

Of course! Could not miss the trip to the Toutle River! it is one of the highlights of our summer. We usually impose on them a couple of times during the summer - and already have our spot reserved.

Escondido is an 18 minute freeway drive to oceanside and oceanside has several RV parks a stones throw to the ocean. Just a thought.

Agreed! Stay along the ocean if possible....only about 25-30 minutes to Escondido from there.

Thanks Steve and Dave. I'll check out Oceanside. Sounds like a great plan.

Thanks Bob. I did. We decided to leave the time flexible and hit both inland and the beach! We plan to start with champagne lakes resort then check out the places around Oceanside. We'll check out the display car between the two.

Kinda funny I should see this thread just as I was about to post a pic of our spot at Paradise By The Sea rv resort in Oceanside. This is our second year here, month last year and 2 months this year. Great spot, walk to the beach, clean. Only down is the train runs past the back of the property.

Thanks Fred. Second year sounds promising! We will have to check to see if they have space. The train is an issue with any of the beach side spots and does not bother us!
