FGRV advertised in Trailer Life

Escape Trailer Industries has an ad on page 49 of Trailer Life, September issue. I have not been following this business very long - is this a new tack, or have other FGRV's been advertised that way before?

Escape had several ads and has even been on the cover. Trailer Life wanted the cover done. Escape hardly needed the business. Now the back-up is a year.

I'm sure I have seen a Scamp ad in the back pages of the AARP Bulletin (not the full magazine) but its not in the current issue. Thats the only time I have seen a Scamp ad.

Yeah I thought "Why" the ad, with a back-log that will most likely never end. Kinda like when ya see an ad for Boeing on the TV, Why?

I used to see ads for Scamps and Casitas and even Burros in Popular Mechanics when I was a teenager (that was quite a few years ago). I got the bug for a fiberglass camper way back then. Finally gave in to the temptation 6 years ago! :-)

I believe the latest issue of Trailer Life has ads for both Escape and Oliver.

Maybe they purchased ads in advance publications and can't cancel. Or maybe they were given some free advertising because of being on the front cover. Who knows...

Usually works the other way around. You buy an ad and they throw in free "editorial" content. No idea why Escape would buy ads though. They no longer have the trailer display along Highway #1 ( essentially a billboard with real trailers ).
