Fiberglass roof

We own a 2021 Flagstaff e pro. I would like to clarify a previous thread that I was reading recently that has false information. Someone quoted that the e-pro/geo pro campers have a molded fiberglass roof. This is not true. The azdel goes up in the front of the camper about 9 feet and then there is a white rubber roof that holds all of the components like air conditioner, antenna, fan, etc. This roof has a 25 year warranty. We have owned our e pro for two years, and the roof does get a grayish tint to it, even though we wash it once or twice a year.

We visited the Oliver Factory in the spring and it is on sweet trailer but very expensive! The base price for the Legacy II is now at $73,500. By the time you add all of the options it could be in the $90’s, depending on what you get. Bigfoot trailer are $70’s to $80’s. So if you want a four season trailer, you can spend that much. Escape is really nice and a little less expensive but not four season.

Has anyone here experienced towing the Bigfoot or Escape? Are they aerodynamic at all?

Thanks for the heads up. Rubber roof on my first trailer was one of the reasons my next trailer was molded fiberglass.

Towed an Escape 21 for 4 years, a Bigfoot 25rq on order. I’d say the Oliver maybe a bit more aerodynamic from looking at it. Airstreams more of course. No opinion on the Bigfoot until we tow it this fall. The escape front is fairly flat,so I’d say not all that great. To put cost in perspective, our very well appointed Bigfootwill be in the low 70’s with the new price increase, now an escape with a similar appointments and a lot smaller trailer will be mid to upper 50’s now with a w year wait and the prospect of more price increases. Oliver’s are now in the Airstream price range. We liked the construction but not the bed layout, the wet bath, refrigerator size and tank sizes. When we bought our Escape in 2017 with a very few options it was 28,000 that same trailer now would be 48,000.
