Fiberglass teardrop?

Snapped this today at the local RV dealer... looks like it's was about to get paint. The blue tape bits were labeled with paint colors.

It's about 6 feet long and pretty cool.

WOW, that would be like sleeping in a coffin, and I'm too young to be dead, yet.

Didn't that thing crash near Roswell, NM in 1947?

It's a "Teardrop American" Outbacker. We have several members that own this here on FiberglassRV. Most haven't been around for a while.

The coffin comment is exactly why my wife hated it
But it sure got alot of attention
Mine had original paperwork
You could remove it from frame so that the frame could be used as a utility trailer
And ..... Wait for it.....
It supposedly would float

The Gull wings are neat - not sure how practical it would be to dismount it and float however

Here's pic of a more original paint job

I think it's cool! It reminds me of my days camping out of the back of our Tahoe. Same amount of room. But way cooler than tenting!

While certainly a neato rig, it's not molded fiberglass. It's actually low-maintenance polyethylene "plastic."

That spare tire should be replaced with a propeller.
