Hi: Bruce H...When Flying J started their $10. fee for dumping I stopped going there!!! Even when not towing we used to stop for gas& lunch but not anymore. In Canada their restaurants have switched to Dennys and gas to Shell. I wonder why???

They went bankrupt and Pilot bought them out. Dennys may have got in on that also. The institution of a dump fee was a bummer. I have not dumped at a Flying J since they did that but I will now consider it if my tanks are full and I can dump for $5. I believe some of the Loves stations still have free dumping. The fuel discount is a real discount. If you are traveling cross country, which I frequently do, their gas prices pretty much always match the low price in a given community. Their LP prices are always reasonable. I am going to get one of the new cards.

As a side note I have often wondered where the big 18 wheelers dump. More and more of them have showers and toilets built into the sleeper compartment so they have to have a waste tank. I have never seen one at an RV dump.

Many of them charge a fee for dumping but waive the fee with a fill-up.
One place had a key and inspected to be sure you left it clean.
When we pulled up we had to wash it down since the people before us dumped all over the ground leaving solids and effluent all over the place, apparently because they didn't want to pay the deposit for the key!
It only takes a few inconsiderate S.O.B.s to ruin it for the rest of us!
