Folding Kayak

I saw this on Shark Tank, and think this would be the perfect camping kayak. Just fold it up and no problems with racks. Mid-to-high priced, but very neat.

Wonder if would fold like that when you are in it and paddling through a rapid? Good way to see what the bottom of the river looks like. I'll stick with my conventional non folding yak.

We have an advanced elements folding kayak and love it. Have used both and this works as well as the solid ones.

Trivia.....

Many years ago there was an outfit in Charleston(?) that made "Foldboats".
The originals were WWII folding kayaks used by commandos who were put to sea in their folding kayaks from submarines near German harbours. They paddled in under cover of darkness and planted Limpet mines on the hulls of battleships. Most of the missions were suicide missions but some did make it back. I do not know if the movie "Cockleshell Heroes" is still out there but it is worth watching.

folding kayak

We travel with our tandem FOLBOT. Join and check out their forum. There is a classified section. The boats are rugged and parts are available for repairs and upgrades.

We like our our Cobra sit on top kayaks and used them for years in All kinds of water conditions. With the style of camping we do now, I can see that a folding boat would be wonderful to have.
