Poor trailer, you wonder how it got in such rough shape. Also poor you, there are better ones out there but I know it is frustrating when you do a longer drive or deal with a less than pleasant owner and it doesn't work out. Sounds like you made the right decision though and another better one will come along.

Good for you for walking away!! Restraint is underrated these days. When you get the trailer you were meant to have, you will be SO thankful that you waited.

Sorry to hear the trip didn't work out! But with time the gas money spent on the trip will long be forgotten but the memories of times spent like that with our parents are priceless.

Keep looking the right trailer will find you!

Cricket, so sorry to hear this. I was excited that you were going to score, as $1200 is just about nothing for a FG trailer.

I do know that the right trailer will be along for you, and that you will be glad that you waited and got just the right one. My luck has been that I will wait and wait for something, then within a couple of days of each other, two choices!
