Well, we saw it on the news and checked it out on the website. Today from 6am until 2pm Denny's is giving away free grandslam breakfasts. We went to the nearest and the wait wasn't too bad. About 1/2 hour from car to table. Food came really fast but was fresh cooked and the waitresses were even smiling and nice. It's not often that there is something free without too many strings attached.

Drove buy a Dennys this morning. I was not going to have breakfast but did look over to see what was going on. I don't think there was a place to park and there was a very long line outside the door. This was about 9 oclock.
The old saying was (built it and they will come). The new saying should be (give it away for free and they will come). My bet is that most of the people in line , never eat there when they heve to pay.

I have had breakfast at Denny's many times in past years, but never a free one.

Some Denny's are better than others I found.

This wasn't lunch, it was breakfast. Two each, bacon, sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs. Yum, it was delicious. We like Denny's but don't have one right in the neighborhood, so we went to Auburn, about 12 miles away. We had other business there, so combined trips. Our wait was about 5 minutes and a person was pulling out just as we pulled in. Sweet!

Local Paper news item about Denney's

When I was single, I used to eat lunch there all of the time. Now Robert packs a lunch for me.
