Fun Fall trip

Just returned to Waterford Wisconsin from a two month trip in our 17' Casita with our 50# Labadoodle.
Started at Niagara Falls Canada, Corning New Your, Hershey Pa, Strausburg Train Museum, Washington DC, Gettysburg, Williamsburg, Outer banks of North Carolina, Kittyhawk, and ended up at St Augustine Florida!
Lots of walking. 7,500 miles in all.
Pulled with our Toyota 4 Runner Limited.

February off to Florida, Fort Myers Beach, Key West and Destin FL.

Our Casita is fantastic. Modified a portable table next to the stove for cooking
and a large wire shelf next to the stove under the cabinets for charging all our devices.

We stay mainly on military bases which are between $17 and $30 a night
which makes it affordable.

I'd like to know how to make use of that base camping. Can you provide some help? Maybe in a PM?

Good to know the price range. I retired in April and might try base camping. Thanks.

Did you know that the Flight 93 Memorial is close to Gettysburg to the west near the Penn Tpk? They have done an excellent presentation of the 9-11 memorial. Just beautiful and respectful.

As I understand it, you have to be retired military or Department of Defense to use the military campgrounds. Just a 2 or 4 year service does not count.

To me that a ridiculous high price. For the past few years I've never paid over $10.00 per night. We've spent a hundred nights and averaged less than $7.50 per night. Now you're affordable.

I suspect I'm not the only one who'd like to know how you manage that.

Wink Prices

WE stayed the first night back in April, at a COE campground at Bardwell Lake near Ennis TX, [nearby the Casita FACTORY] $7 the night and waterfront site near a bath house. Decent place.

Military RV parks are a benefit for active duty and retired military members (sometimes DoD Civilians too, depending on location). Mike
