Galileo Campers

I'm new here and would like to see info on the Galileo fiberglass camper. Anyone have info? Their website seems to be down.

According to this site the builder was JAG Mobile Solutions
Galileo Travel Trailers — Small RV Life

and their website is still up, but there is no mention of Galileo
JAG Mobile Solutions | Mobile Restroom Trailers, Portable Shower Trailers, Specialty Trailers

Me thinks that the idea for a "High End" luxury trailer didn't gel, but there must be at least one out there somewhere. I'd contact JAG, and let us all know what you find out.

I just called. They stopped making them in 2011. Too bad.

Was there any indication of how many were built? They certainly look interesting
But... If a high end FGRV is what you are looking for, be sure to follow the thread on the build out of the NEST Caravan on this site, it may be exactly what you want.

Built by whoever Aereon is I guess. I didn't realize that it was hybrid construction (sticky with molded fiberglass ends caps and roof) in the Galileo pics. But if they are selling a 21', 2011 for $10k at a Camping World lot that's certainly not in the same class as our FGRV's. You can't buy a decent 2011 13' for that kind of money, at least not at Camping World..... lol
Thanks for the peek though.

From what I can see, AEREON was made by AVS that became Galileo. So these are only molded end caps and roof? Not a true FG?

In the script for the video it mentions a "Molded roof" and the flat sides appear to be standard sheet construction. Plus, the selling price is the give-away, CW knows what Molded FGRV's can bring, even if an orphan.

Only a handful were made. The facility in Howe, IN, has three "new" 2010 and one "new" 2011 21' models available. Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'm leaning toward Bigfoot. I can't seem to get anywhere with Nest Caravans.

Needless to say, NEST is a bit away from production, but we know the builder well here and the promise is substantial. Did you see the thread that shows all of his development pics?

But certainly BigFoot is also an excellent choice, new ones are pricy but well thought of, and there are a few dealers in the states. I did a restoration on a 13' Lil'Bigfoot about 2 years back and have some pics if you would like to see a small Bigfoot, albeit no longer in production.

What will you be towing with? FGRV's are lighter than stick construction, but not featherweight as some stickys "claim" to be

I did follow the tread. Good info. Thanks. I'm looking at a F150. It would be over kill for a Nest. But probably ok for a 21" Bigfoot. I was even thinking of going the 10.4 truck camper but that would require a very expensive 350. I would love to see your pix. Greg

Oliver might be another idea for you Greg, stunning quality and company that really backs their owners like Escape in BC does. Keep us posted on your progress.

Oliver sent me their literature; I like it a lot. My concern is turn around space on the inside. I like it that it's right down I75 from me; I live in Ohio. I like the twin bed model; I'm single so don't need a ton of space but want room for a guest. I'm looking at Escape, too. I am willing to pay for quality (within reason).

Robert Johans from Nest Caravans just emailed me. The prototype should be ready in 6 weeks.
