I don't think you can completely disappear, because that would take down any posts you made and leave holes in the threads. But you should certainly be able to stop all communications from the site. I believe there is a setting in the "User CP" tab to stop e-mail notifications. If you're getting the e-newsletter, I'm not sure how you opt out of that. You can also turn off private messaging.

If you need help or more information, you can reach the site administrator through the tiny "Contact Us" link at the bottom margin of every page.

Stop FiberglassRV emails?

It appears that you want to:
  1. click on the "Quick Links" pulldown (on the blue menu bar)
  2. click on "Edit Options" in the pulldown menu
  3. click to "uncheck" the options in the "email" group
  4. click to "uncheck" the options in the "private messaging" group
  5. click to "uncheck" the options in the "profile commenting" group
  6. click to "check" the "disable all emails" in the "global email settings" group
Sorry to see you go....

Pit a few messages in your junk folder and all will continue to go there. You won’t see in your inbox anymore.

Jon, not sure about your “holes in the threads” comment. Moderators remove posts all the time without disrupting the continuity of the thread. But any post made by a member by agreement is “owned” by FGRV so one’s presence here can never be erased entirely, as I am sure you know.
Hope you’re doing well!

When moderators remove posts for inappropriate content, they are selective and work to preserve continuity and relevant content. If any member were allowed to leave and take all their content with them, that would indeed tend to turn threads into Swiss cheese. One person with a low post count wouldn’t matter much, but policies are based on what would happen if it were common practice. Of course we agreed to all this when we created our accounts.

Just checked, and the "Edit Options" link is available in both the "User CP" tab and the "Quick Links" tab. I already have all communications turned off except private messaging. I prefer to keep everything internal to this site and deal with it only when I choose to visit the site.

This forum is part of the RVLIFE empire, so you might email support@rvlife.com and ask to have your account removed.

Or you could repeatedly violate the terms of service until they ban you. The latter is not recommended however and would have wider effect then just getting you out of here.

Do this and then stop logging in or visiting the forum.
