Getting hitched up for a new trailer!

It's official now. The deposit check has been cashed and UPS just delivered the hitch hardware for our new Scamp 5th wheel!

It's a side-bathroom 2005 Standard with a shower/toilet, the "5th wheel package" goodies, the large gas/110v fridge, heater, and awning. I need to get the hitch and a brake controller/hookup installed in the used Ford Ranger we bought then I'll drive down to California to pick it up late next week. (I hope the weather is warmer and dry instead of cold and icy, as it has been for the last 24 hours.)

Congrats! Having been a Scamp fifth wheel owner for a short time, I can tell you you're really going to enjoy it! They're great rigs. I'm sure others will chime in and give you all their tips and hints.

After the Christmas rush is over I plan to take my little trailer and a bunch of orange traffic cones to the parking lot and learn how to back this puppy up. Then (hopefully) I'll be able to pull into my spot before any of you even know we've arrived!

(We won't talk about last time, me at the wheel of a borrowed 5th wheel trailer trying to ack into a space for the first time.)
