Sliding out lengthways looks clever and must be expensive to make, but it's hard to see what real advantage it brings... except looking clever.

A fixed-longer trailer would be lighter, cheaper, more usable and not so prone to leaks.

Depends on the length. If the addition had added room to stand up and dress, I'd love it. It doesn't look like it did, though. And it doesn't change the overall length of the trailer, does it? So I tend to agree- cute, but not very useful. On the other hand, that's a really nice galley.
