Alright, The Beck's are in the house!! We also live in the Rogus Valley. You're right, it is a great place to live! You might want to get on the waiting list for the Oregon Gathering in july, you may get a place. This is a great event, not to be missed if possible. Welcome to the Club

It looks great. As does the Terrorist...lol.

Speaking of Oregon in July, I sent in my name for the waiting list; would I hear anything back (I didn't?)

Hey Joey,

I love your vannie truck! Is it canadian? Neal and I have an 87' weekender vanagon. I loved driving it but the stick shift cuppler or something got worn out and they were not doing any aftermarket repops of it so, sherman as we refer to vanny, is sitting in the back yard awaiting that specific part. Great automobile though, have never seen a truck in the USA. Very cooollll. Had a wonderful ride home with scamp, she towed like a little dream! Sister and I even whipped into the local casino to "stretch the legs" a little. It only cost us 20 dollars to do it too! We had a great drive although my sister referred to my Honda Element as the tin can, apparently there is a lot of road noise. I don't notice it since every car I have ever driven has a lot of road noise. She's just spoiled with her fancy quiet cars. Thanks for the pics of your compact and VW, love them both. I plan on putting up some pics of scamp and lil sparky tonight. Sparky is the element, have yet to name scamp, but it is for sure a girl! \

hi kristen,

thanks for sharing the pics of your new scamp and family! it is nice to know another member that has a vw transporter and actually likes it. my "vannie truck" is a canadian import. it is a 1991 tristar syncro. is your weekender 4wd? there are a lot of vw meets i go to, and i plan on using my compact instead of sleeping on the bed of my truck. my wife thinks that i am going way overboard in adding another obsession in fiberglass trailers to go along with my volkswagen addiction. did you come up with a name for your scamp yet? have fun!!!

This wife is responsible for the purchase of the transporter pickup and fiberglass trailer we own. We used to have a VW bus when the kid were babies but got rid of it. When we became empty nesters (and did not have to worry about the cold), I wanted a bus. So I got one for my birthday. Then last year, I saw a fiberglass trailer on ebay and bought it with my grandma's estate money.
We too go to VW shows and hope to eventually show our UHaul and pickup together. Last summer, we won a big tacky trophy with our Burro and Eurovan.

Hi: How many years of camping does it take before you qualified for the "Purple Hat" Alf S. North shore of Lake Erie

Hi Alf,
to answer the question it takes several years of "tent camping" before you get the purple hat. You must truly rough it befire you get that honor! No, neal and I went to the local indian casino for new years and trust me there was no alcohol involved in that picture, just good old twisted sense of humor! My poor weiner dog will wear any hat you stick on him, you should see his reindeer antlers at christmas time, Hilarious! The terrier, not so fond of hats but loves the little rain slickers and t shirts i put on her. Makes her feel special.
