Good Old Iowa Humidty

My husband arrived about 4 am this morning from his job in Montana for the weekend complaining that he felt like he was breathing water. 98 degrees in Montana is not the same as 98 degrees in Iowa. We have no AC (he works and lives in AC) so all the fans are on hurricane setting. I rarely turn my AC on in my jeep. I had to put that on full blast to keep him from withering. If he keeps complaining I will have to suggest to him what the dog use to do. Go stand in the creek but don't stay in too long. If you get hypothermia, I'll have to put a come-along on you and winch you out.

I feel your pain and humor!

102 here Today and my Sprinter thought it was 105?
Almost 100 percent humidity from May to October too.
I rarely use the AC in the truck myself and get odd looks for it too.

Just part of the joy of living Midwest style I guess.
But I sure like getting home and beaching myself on the couch in the cool house too!

I remember first time going to Colorado to see my son.
When we got back in August I just melted even before I got home.
Sure was sweet to breathe truly fresh air and need a jacket in the mornings.
But you knew you were close to home when the stench of chicken houses filled
your nostrils..........LOL I know, I know......that's the smell of money to
chicken farmers.

Took my daughter to the doctor today in Tulsa. Radio kept saying it was in the
90's with heat factor of 105. I look at my temperature in the car and it's 104.
I thought, what is the heat factor in the part of town I'm in?

Cyndi, at first I thought you were going to suggest your husband could go back to
Montana. Glad I was wrong on your story........LOL
