Soooooo........where's the sun? Is someone enjoying it somewhere?
The PNW continues to have unseasonable weather (or maybe not, June has traditionally been a wet month, but not April, May AND June!). Locals (and the weatherman) call it "Juneuary".
But we do have long northern days to celebrate the solstice, officially getting 15 hours, 59 minutes, and 35 seconds of daylight today. In spite of cloud
and drizzle, it was rather light
even at 11 last night and at 3:30 a.m this morn.
I wrote of a summer solstice camping trip WAY up north on Haida Gwaii back in 1995 - where it seemed to never get dark - on my blog
Enjoy whatever summer brings your way this first day!
Our pink climbing roses are the 'brightest' thing in our yard this first day of summer.......
