Harvest Hosts

I have read all the information about Harvest Hosts and I understand the concept. But, I was wondering those who have used them and the service could give me their thoughts; pros and cons - what didn't you like about the service etc. I just would like to hear what others have to say before I commit! Thanks!!

We have nothing but POSITIVE comments for Harvest Hosts. We have stayed at many beautiful wineries in Paso Robles and Lodi, California. All you have to do is phone the host and ask to stay for one night. We have always been greeted by the vintner/owner or manager and made to feel welcome. We have always been placed in a quiet area. Of course, overnight the wineries are closed. We have been welcomed into the tasting rooms and gladly purchased wine. It is an informal courtesy to purchase something from your host. I keep "thank you" cards provided by HH in my trailer and always leave one for our host. The hosts are not only vintners but farmers, ranchers and those who run attractions.

Here's a photo of our Scamp at a Lodi winery.

Which is why I thought you might like to see some of the prior comments on the topic from this forum. There might be more, I didn't look past the first search result.
