Just wanted to say hello to Gina D. and our other Fiberglass RV buddies! We've stayed in touch a bit with Ken & Diane, who were so kind in welcoming us to Vancouver when we drove up in 2007 to get our 19' Bigfoot, but have kind of lost touch with some of you. We've been really busy taking a number of courses (I am still completing one certification program) and so we kind of "dropped off the map" and are not great correspondents right now, but just had to say hello and post a few photos of our recent Thanksgiving trip in our TT!

Between the educational track and planning to start our own healing practice, we have not been getting out as much in our TT as we used to, and are trying to decide whether to keep it or sell it. If we decide to sell it, we will post on the Forum. When months go by without our using it, we start thinking other people could be enjoying it, then we step inside and fall in love all over again... not an easy decision!

Blessings & Hugs,

Val & Kayla

Hey Val and Kayla welcome back! Your 19 footer Bigfoot was one of the first (and almost only one) I had ever seen or heard about and have made reference to it several time in the recent past.

BTW: there hardly anything more healing than going camping!!

Thank you for the welcome back!

We met a number of Forum members for the first time in Bandon, where we traveled before we bought anything. It was just as much the warm, friendly, down-to-earth community of travelers we encountered there as it was the wonders of fiberglass travel trailers which got us hooked. After that weekend of walking around as "Wannabees," seeing the range of comfy and creative homes on wheels, we spent hours doing research and finally, were willing to go to Canada to get this rare 19' Bigfoot. We learned that the reason the 19' are so rare is that there was a fire at the Bigfoot Manufacturing plant and the moulds for the 19' and 5th Wheels were destroyed.

Soon after getting ours, we enjoyed attending a San Bernadino Mountain get-together that Gina D. coordinated a few years ago and had a great time meeting the wonderful group who'd assembled there for the weekend. Gina and several others were so welcoming of us newbies and provided us with great tips and helpful hints (quick and easy rig set up, A to Z of dumping, the physics of getting decent gas mileage, etc.). In short, we found the fiberglass community to be top-notch!

We will keep our eyes open for any local AZ gatherings while the weather is still cool here (which may not be for long at the low elevations) and hope to see some of you this year.

Blessings & Hugs,
Val & Kayla

Hi Gina!

Nice to be back, thanks! Just saw that Quartzsite posting right now, darn it! We went hiking at Kaiser Hot Springs over Valentine's Day to celebrate our 5th Anniversary, but would have loved to get together with y'all instead... Oh well, we must have picked up on the good vibrations from the event, which got us back in the loop.

How's life? How's the rig?

Val & Kayla

Welcome back fellow Bigfooter!

I did not know the the molds for the 19 fter were destroyed along the 5th! There is a rumor that the new Bigfoot company is going to produce 5th, maybe they will do the 19s also. Too bad you missed the Q outing, it was much fun and I would have loved to see your trailer.
