help!!!

We found a trailer that we are interested in but it is about 2 days drive away.
How do we make an offer on a trailer: 1) conditioned on inspection by us and a professional, 2) prevent the seller from selling it to someone else while we are making the 2 day drive, 3) If we make a deposit with the seller how do we safe guard that? Escrow service?

Be careful about sending any money....there are many scammers out there. You have to talk to the seller to get a feel....will he hold the trailer until you arrive.....can he send you pics of the entire trailer....inside and outside.....can you validate the location of the trailer.....can you contact a local business who can actually go check on the trailer...pay them a small fee......again...don't send money to seller. Good luck.

Send a message via Yahoo to Darwin Maring
Go to cars-on-line.com and find an appraiser. They do cars but I'm sure you could pay them to go and take pictures and to give you their opinion on the condition.

Basically you can’t. There has to be an element of trust here. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it is.

I’ve sent deposits via PayPal, critical, do not send as a gift. A gift is just that, zero recourse.

I had one the seller misrepresented. I showed up, took five minutes to know it wasn’t in the condition they claimed it was in. I explained it to them, then I left. I retrieved my deposit back from PayPal, item not as described. Seller was none too happy. I wasn’t either!!

Fly. I got a call after 18 months of looking; available in Denver with clean title. NEXT DAY flew from Portland Oregon to Denver. Seller picked me up, I inspected and bought it using a bank transfer from mine to his, and went back to the airport with title and bill of sale.

Had it brought over the Rockies on a flatbed for not much more than it would have cost in gas for me to go get it and drag it home. Uship.com
