HEY, did you read this? New 17' Casita model coming next week!!

On the CasitaClub, posted by Casita Travel Trailers: http://www.casitaclu...lx/#entry167541

I like the name... Independence!

Casita will be posting pictures of the new model on their website sometime next week. Cool beans for those that are interested in a twin bed model.

Interesting they are finally (apparently) doing what so many have modified their Liberty to do: twin beds that are actually wide enough to sleep on. Good for them!

I have to say, I don't look at the Casita Travel Trailer website very often. Have these twin bed pics been posted before?

Yep - that's why a lot of folks get the Liberty - queen, king or twin beds. Can't wait to see the Independence, altho' Dave's not a fan of twin beds I know a lot of folks like that option. Wonder what the upgraded bathroom/kitchen area will look like....

My vote is yes to Donna's question, that floorplan has been around for a number of years I think. No side dinette. Anyone one else have a vote?

Twin beds were a must for us. I am anxious to see the new model.

Pics are up but the no side dinette floorplan has been around for a while. Looks like the Benches are just wider. Are they also longer?

Front stove knobs are bad news if you have small kids.

I don't like the fabric.

I like the fabric, love the wider beds also. Wondering what that little door is in the bathroom?

If the front stove knobs have to be pushed in to turn like the top ones usually do, I see no problem with little kids. The youngest aren't coordinated enough to figure that out, and by the time they're old enough to do so they'd be tall enough to reach top-mounts anyway.

I like the twin bed configuration- never knew that was an option with any FGRV's.!

I am thinking that the large majority of new-Casita purchasers are adults with grown children. But anyhow, isn't the stove an option rather than standard?

Humm, might be difficult to change the kitchen sink faucet for something else, I love the hi-rise spout and paddle handle faucet I put in my Scamp. Hummmm

Agreed, Donna. I like the double drawer under the stove, but I don't like the rigmarole behind/above the galley sink. I wonder if that's a thing you could ask them to leave off...

I don't ever look at the site, either, so I don't know if the photos are new; but I have tried to sleep on the Liberty "twin" before, and it was as depicted, and not wide enough to be comfortable.

The one thing I see that I like is that the water pump switch is outta the way! Do like that! Where they put the switch prior to the Independence just never really made sense.

saw the trailer in Rice today.. mattresses a little wider.. awkward to get by tables but they do swivel. It's kind of like a narrow spice cabinet behind the kitchen faucet and it's an actual store storage cabinet in the washroom.
Not a fan of this model but at least they are making changes.
Winter pricing still on and appears like lots of inventory.
