How do you know when you see an ad is a Scam

It's easy. When you see your trailer that you just purchased in another state for $11,000 up for sale on Craigs list for $5500.00 in another state. Same vin #, same pictures almost the same spiel word for word.
First reation was I paid too much for ours when I saw the ad but when I started reading it I said "wait a minute, that's the same ad so this is a scam". And it's been flagged. Be careful out there when buying off of
Craig's list especially. E-Bay has a little more protection.
Don't go looking at a trailer or car or anything that's for sale with a pocketful of cash. We saw in the news where a few buyers got robbed when answering a car ad. The car probably didn't even exist. So the old saying goes "If it sounds too good to be true most likely it isn't"

Hi Fred and welcome to the forum. I hope what you are saying is that your transaction was fine and someone stole the ad to try and scam others. Raz

Exactly right. I just happened to be looking on Craig's list just to reinforce myself that I made a good purchase when I came across the scam. Normally no one would look back once they purchase an item or in the case of the seller either.
