east coast weather----yesterday, a chilly -10 with a wind chill of -20....and those winds sure did blow!! but today, it is a balmy 1C and all the ice is starting to melt....so we were able to clean the driveway off and make walking safer. but, it'll only last a day or so because they are promising more "seasonal" weather for the rest of the week.

we have about a foot of snow on the ground, making it look quite christmassy.

Right now it's 72 (F) and a drizzly, gray, day - but it beats living in Vernal, Utah (where my wife is from), which is currently having a relatively warm day of 15 degrees!

After a week of dry, all hours below freezing weather and wind... the Portland area is back to normal For us, that's rain... and lots of it. The ground can handle the water, the drivers couldn't handle the slick roads from ice, certain didn't make for good Christmas shopping over the weekend.

Seven days until daylight starts growing!!!!

On Sunday in Edmonton

Edmonton was the coldest place in North America yesterday morning and the second chilliest in the world.

The Edmonton International Airport saw a record low of -46.1 C and -58.4 C with the windchill, outfreezing even the Arctic.

and I thought we had it rough!

We have been having some very nice weather, as usual, the mountains to our east has been keeping the really cold stuff at bay.

Weather you asked, my nephew emailed me last night it was raining in McAllen TX, 55 degrees at 11:30 pm.

It was sunny and 55 degrees in Las Cruces at 11:30 am today and high was to be 58 and tomorrow 62 degrees with low of 32 degrees. This is a little above average for the month.

Tucson was to get to be 73 to day and 75 degrees tomorrow and Sunny. Low 41. This is above average.

Still raining in the Valley, ei RGV, ei Rio Grande Valley of deep south Texas when I check at 1 or 2 pm today. Harlingen was below average today. Average Hgn. as was McAllen. Average McA
Looks like a "cold" front made it down to them.

Pomona area east of Los Angles was in mid-70s today, will be 74 degrees tomorrow with lows about 45 degrees.

We were in Maggie Valley, NC for the last four days. Mostly moderate weather, highs in the low fifties, lows ten or twenty degrees less. The kids had fun snowboarding on Cataloochee. (Mostly manufactured snow, but still fun.)

We're back home in Tampa Bay. Clear skies, high around 76 today, about 65 now at almost eleven. We are busy preparing for visits from our northern relatives in the next two months.

Another foogy morning here in West Central Texas. Visibility less than 1/8 mile and temperature around freezing. It is supposed to warm to the mid 60's later in the day. We'll see. Since the 2-3 inches of snow we received on the fourth, there have been more days with cold morning fog then I have every seen in the 25 plus years I have been here. In typical Texas fashion during this time we have also had a couple of days in the upper 70's and many with lows in the low 20's. Interesting December so far this year.

Rick kl, I've lived in Edmonton most of my life and just when I think it can't get worse, Mother Nature is sure to prove me wrong! Bone chilling doesn't even come close to describing it. Everything froze to a halt - cars, exhaust, fog, electric block heater cords, etc etc....

Today right now, we are at -3 C...

We seem to be in the tropics compared to some of you folks across the pond. Here in Saltcoats on the west coast of Scotland we're sitting tonight at 0 C with snow forecast for the weekend. Lowest so far this year has been -6 C.
Southern England has had snow and as usual everything ground to a halt - airports and roads closed. We know it's coming but never seem prepared.
Hope your weather improves.

For Floridians a cold & breezy 38 F here this morning. To windy for kayak flats fishing, darn it!

It would appear global warming is a temporary myth. We have slipped again back to global cooling, like the 70's were!

Portland, Oregon chiming in here... and it's snowing and blowin' What a mess. We're used to the rain, but not the white crunchy stuff. Took me an hour and half to go 13 miles.... coming home from work a bit ago.

Hope it melts by morning

Hi All, it's -1 C and about 4" of snow this morning. Just watching the "all season" cars sliding by the house.
