I think you're right. Timmons, the mule skinner, said it.

WOW, what a lovely spot!

[quote]Hi Donna, Gina, David, and Judy—

Thanks for the greets!

Yeah, this is pretty sparse out here. The county's pop density is 1.1/sg mi, but the density in the 2500 sq mi right around me is about .02 by my calculations. The nearest neighbor is 5 miles along a "county road" you would have to see to believe. Nearest town is 35 miles on a one-lane road. But it's great country and the people, what few there are, are the best.

Tuesday it was 72° but now we have long ice-dagger frost clinging to everything. If you don't like high plains weather, just wait ten minutes for something new! Very pretty. The trees are swathed in white and the frost makes spikes on the barbed wire as long as the barbs themselves. But despite the beauty these are the kind of icing conditions in which we can lose power which ain't no fun.

Judy, I lived in Tucson while a grad student at UA back in the 60s. Man, is THAT ancient history!

Here's a view of my place from the hill just behind me.

Hi Robert! Missed you and your fur-buddies ...and your photographs. What photography projects have you been working on lately. Welcome home.

Nancy
Hi, Nancy!

So nice to hear from you.

Since I can't travel quite as extensively as I did before, I am working a number of Sandhills projects. I bought an archival printer (giclée in the pretentiousness terminology of the art world!) and have been working on a series of Sandhills prints. I have five of the first six-print series finished and am waiting for spring with 'bated breath! I'm also working up a new series on "Mountain Water" with a few of those prints coming from the Smoky Mountains back east. This spring and summer I will be doing another series on Sandhills flora. Not having any trouble keeping busy, that's for sure!

All the best!

Oooooooooo, (she says, green with envy) a giclée printer. Wish you lived closer. Could give you some business from the Oregon Watercolor Society.

Well, as Gomer used to say "GOLLLLL-eeee!"

Nice to hear from you, Suz, and don't worry about being "late."

Thanks for the note of welcome!
