I could use some help. Selling.

Looks like we are now in a situation where we will be selling our 1974 13' Trillium. I'm not super excited to see her go though. We put a lot of time and effort into renovating her.

I need some help, I have no idea where to set the asking price at.

(Just to be clear, she's all electric now with new wiring, all lights updated to LED, set up with A/C and 120v receptacles, a TV/CD/DVD player, 3 new tires, rockguard, new hubcaps, new potable water system, new shelves, new flooring.... Ok, so it's pretty much completely redone.)

Also, what would be the best time to list?

Ben, you might be able to get a feel for price/value by perusing our Classified Archive. Even though it'll take some time, your situation is one reason we keep the old ads.

As for when to sell, I've always felt like spring and early summer are a seller's market, with late summer and fall are more of a buyer's choice.

Sorry to hear you need to sell it. As Mary suggests looking through classifieds is a good place to look. The website Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com not only has current sales as well as a section of sold archives to look through all listed by Brand. As well as spring being a good time to sell price wise your location can also impact the price as well.

I'm sorry you have to sell you Egg.
It looks beautiful in the picture.
You may have limited your potential buyers, sale price, by eliminating the propane.

With no pictures of the interior, it is difficult to say. The outside looks good, Trilliums seem to hover around $5000. A little more if nice, a little less if requiring work.

I have purchased six. One from Ontario. The Ontario one was the most, at $3200. The least I have paid is $100, but the roof was collapsed on that one.

My experience should not be considered typical.

Just some hints from a old sellsman.

Remove all the personal clutter from the inside of the trailer. By that I mean the dirty sneakers, car keys, empty coke cans, etc, from the sink!

Get clothes off the bed and floor! Empty the trash can, and anything that would distract from the niceness of the trailer.

When people are due to come see the trailer, have the refg working and cold. Have water in the tank and pump working, If you have a AV, and the weather is warm have it running on a low setting.

But, the most importaint thing you can do is "sell the dream"! Sure, the condition of the trailer is important...however, most young buyers are really buying a dream...the dream of family outings at the lake, mountains, children playing on a sandy beach, etc

Tell the would-be buyer about the great fun filled trips you took.

Sell the dream...and the trailer follows...

Please tell me how much you are asking for your travel trailer. Can you please show me some pictures of the inside? Thank you for your help.
