I really did it! No, not bought another trailer - I RETIRED!! My last day of work will be Mar. 1 (2 weeks!), and my official retirement date is Mar. 2. The house is sold and we're waiting for a closing date, and I'm about half packed. I will be moving to Clarkston, WA or Lewiston, ID about the end of March! The Fiber Stream is most definitely going with me, but we may not make it to the Oregon Camp this year. I have plans for the F/S of doing some serious camping and exploring in the Rockies.
Yay!!! I did it!!!!!

Congratulations!
I know that area! The mountain scene from Lucy & Desi's " The Long Long Trailer" was filmed there!

Congratulations Lynn ,
I retired last year and Ann retires the end of May. We aren't selling our house, in fact were still working on it, but before the end of June we'll be headed towards Montana to visit #1 son. We've many friends and relatives to see on the way, so we may be a little while getting there.
Now you'll get to learn what really being busy is like. Enjoy the changes in your lifestyle

Congratulations, Lynn! (I'm so envious!) We'll miss you if you don't make it to the Oregon Gathering this summer ...but there's always next year. Good luck in the start of a new life.

Lynn- Congrads on setting the date. We are so happy for you but, sorry to see a fellow fiberglasser leave the Northcoast. We wish you all the luck and much happiness no matter where you go. Look at all the time your going to have to devote to fixing up your FiberStream and using it. We will miss you in Oregon, if you don't come, but hope you can make it next year. Stay in touch, and very happy FiberStream trails to you. Enjoy the seasons at your new location.

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes! I don't have a closing date yet on the house, but it should be about mid-March. I will leave shortly after that, and am thinking I might be spending a couple of days in the F/S with both dogs and 3 cats!!!
I'll be in the Lewiston/Clarkston area, and in the phone book, so if anyone gets out that way please call or stop by. There will always be a place in the driveway for another fiberglasser!!

Good for you. The 20th of February I will be starting on my third year of retirement and I think I am finally learning how to do it. It was tough at first since the job I had held was almost retirement and the only difference seemed to be the fact they stopped paying me when my contract expired.d (Not quite one months before my 65th birthday). I did not experience the sudden whiplash a lot of people feel qhen they stop working and start loafing. I was already pretty experienced at that so it took a while to acclimate myself to genuine retirement. As I said before, the loss of the paycheck was what made it all seem real Harold.
