After an extended absence caused by a totally unexpected medical problem, I'm back on the forum. It seems like I've been away from friends for months and it is good to get back here. Thank you Don Martin (DMartin) for the call which I have not ignored but have not had the opportunity to return. I appreciate the thoughfulness and concern. I feel like I am getting back to normal now and look forward to my daily visit to FGRV.

Nor have I had the opprtunity to workl on the Cadet, which is sitting, bare bones, in the workshop. I can hear it calling to me...

The Georgia Spring get-together fell through and I apolgize to one and all...though the weather has been so lousy we may not have missed anything.

It's good to be back. Here's some dancing okra!

Don

Glad you have recovered and are back here.

Now go work on that Cadet but don't overdo it!

Don,
We pray your recovery is complete! Please don't push the "getting back to normal" process too hard. I've been faced with somewhat similar problems and my tendency is to try to make up for lost time. In my case, that only ended up slowing the process.
We too are glad to know you are back amongst us.

Hey Don, Welcome back. You"re welcome to the east cost rally May 17-19 at Country Waye Campground in Luray Va. if you are feeling up to it. So far we have 6 planing to be there and hope to get a few more before the start date. Nothing formal and this will be the first for many of us. Think about it. Thanks Bill

Don,
You have me beat, mine was an overweight Percheron. That episode was the followed by an out-of-kilter back caused be rolling paint on our new bedroom ceiling. 3 1/2 weeks of agony until a back x-ray revealed the problem so a chiropractor could straighten me out.
More than enough said, again, glad we are both back---but stay away from paint rollers.

Kurt: I went the bad-back/ruptured disc route several years ago, but, surprisingly, painting has never bothered me. My back and sciatic problems seem to come about when I'm doing nothing! When I turned 40 (some years ago) everything began falling off.

I wish the pounds would fall off at 40. I'd be slim by now!

At 40 is when I started losing my 36Reg size to bigger and bigger. Must be something in the birthday cake.
