I was in Alaska, squatting down by a wall pay phone in the entrance to a supermarket, calling the answering machine of one of my kids in Chicago. I was also waving at some German tourists and saying hello auf Deutsch to them, when the beep started on the phone. I commenced singing Happy Birthday rather loudly into the phone. When I hung up, a little kid standing there working on a grape sucker said something like "Hey, mister, you are really funny!" with a big smile on his face.

I got my butt in Rod Action magazine once. Dad and I had attended a local car show, and we had both bent down to peer under a hot rod to see how they did something. Just at that moment the magazine photographer must've come by, because a couple months later I was paging through the latest issue and hey, wait a minute, wasn't I wearing a checkered shirt that day? And isn't that...?

So there's my ten minutes of fame: I got my butt in Rod Action.

ahhhh, Rod Action is an actual magazine, and butt is the abbreviation for buttocks. Everyone has one, so yeah, it's funny when put together.
