For anyone not familiar with the terminology, "ute" is short for "utility", meaning a vehicle with a utility cargo tray (box) in the back... a pickup truck in North American terms. The
Falcon ute is based on a vehicle that is otherwise available as a sedan (the
Falcon), so it's a bit like an old Chevrolet El Camino or Ford Ranchero, but the Falcon's tray is separate like our normal pickup trucks, not integrated with the cab body. So this camper is sort of mid-sized, intended for a six-foot box.
I think it's cool.
I don't think the front bed is missing a support; instead, I think the ends of the mattress just aren't lying down flat... maybe pulled up for air circulation between uses?
