Ichetucknee Have you visited in the last 3 years?

Haven't taken possession of my Snoozy yet, so we'll be staying at High Springs Inn. Driving up tomorrow, tubing Tuesday.

This used to be an annual July event with me and my son. When he decided to go camping with Uncle Sam, me and my grandson went. We would tent at O'Leno SP.

Then for 2 years I took my Boy Scouts over Memorial Day Weekend, staying in the group campsite at O'Leno.

I think the last time we went was 3 or 4 years ago- just for the day. Drove up from St Pete and back the same day. Took dgs-18, dgd 13, and my brother's granddaughter 15.

Has anything changed?? I saw on the website that you need a tram pass now? We plan to be parked at the north entrance by 7 am. I know the water will be higher and swifter than I am used to seeing it. But fortunately, I know that fat floats

It's been 3 years for me. We, with a large group, decided to walk back instead of waiting in a long line for a tram, and enjoyed it. We used the south entrance. The river was delightful. RIVER INFORMATION

The main changes (aside from the river running so high) are that the old North Entrance tube put in has been closed down. You have to go to the Canoe Put in now, about 1/4 mile downstream. And the Trading Post has been enlarged. That plus the tram bracelet needing to be purchased.

We rented a double tube, only had enough for 1 trip down to the southernmost takeout point. But a great time was had by all.
