Nope. Newtons 2nd Law is Force = Mass x Acceleration. The relevant formula would be for Kinetic Energy (KE), which makes the impact even worse since it's squared:

KE= Mass x Velocity Squared.

Then there's the massive increase in texting while driving since 2007. Despite most states outlawing texting while driving I see drivers texting nearly every time I drive.

Enjoy,

Perry

Maybe, but distracted driving has always been a problem. Whether there is more today than years ago, I'm not convinced either way. Maybe there is a relatively constant percentage of (especially inexperienced) drivers that take dumb risks trying to multi-task regardless of the decade. I remember when I was young and thought I could read a road map and drive -- Thankfully I never crashed, but it took longer than it should have to figure out how crazy that was -- No GPS back then.

I know one person that dropped a lit cigarette and crashed, another that crashed while fiddling with CD's for a stereo. Neither fessed up to the cops (or the employer). But cell phones have incriminating memories, and that could have made phones get a lot more attention then driving while smoking, eating, drinking, grooming, and so on.

Ordering?

From what I read it's all MSRP now, but pre-Covid was it customary to negotiate a discount when you order? I probably should get a new truck but I've always just bought one off the lot.
