I'm selling my Casita

:sad I've decided to sell my Casita. Not because I don't like it but because it has turned out to be too small for me, the dog and my stuff. The poor dog was being asked to move because he always seemed to be in front of a door I needed to open. I tried leaving the side dinette down for him but in warmer weather he preferred the floor. So, with great sadness, I've listed the Casita here and over at casitaclub.com. I'll still be traveling (eventually) when my new stick-built (gasp!) trailer is ready. I looked at the Bigfoots (feets) but did not like the floorplan or it (the 26) was too heavy. I talked to Jeanne Ivey at Casita before I listed it and did tell her that if they made I larger Casita I may have gone that route instead. Oh well, it's better to "cut the cord" early than be unhappy and not enjoy my travels. I'll check in occasionally just to see how things are going. By for now.

Ginny

Ginny ... we still love you!

You can come visit here ... even after you sell your rig.

And I'll bet you sell it in a couple of days!

Thanks

Charles, thanks for the kind words. I hope it sells soon. Luckily, I can stay with my friend as long as I need to. The spare bedroom is quite comfortable but I'd rather be in my own "place" if you know what I mean. The trailer is now empty and has been cleaned inside. I do need to wash and wax it (maybe I'll even do the bottom this time) though. Temps here have been in the high 90s and the humidity is brutal. I'm keeping the AC on in the trailer to prevent unwanted growth.

Side Dinette

Bill,

That's a good idea except sometimes I need the table up. Then I would have to have a place for that plywood. Maybe under the mattress. An idea for the future or for someone else to use.

Ginny

It's too bad that you feel Casita has turned out to be too small for you. I've read from many others who feel the same. I've also read about many others who love the size that Casita offers. If Canada had them here......I'd definately check them out! :)

Casita obviously caters to a market that suits them and they do it extremely well. FWIW - they do need to think about a 19 or bigger........ ;)

Casitas are a beautiful trailer - I hope Artic Fox does the job for you.

P.S. That you are here..COUNTS - Happy Trails! :wave

Orginally posted by Ginny D.
The Arctic Fox will have a fiberglass outside (just siding of course--does that count at all?).
Does in my book, but few people take the time to read my book. Just remember. when you get tired of big and sided, you know what to do.

Too small?

:wave My dogs know what "get away from the door!" means. I also have a 'stick built' and they hover around that doorway as well. See you on the road! :wave
