Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Blaze looked like a really special dog, and I know that the loss of someone so well loved as him will be really hard. Our thoughts are with you.

They wrap themselves around your heart so completely that when they pass it's like having it ripped out. So sorry for your loss.

Awww man, another faithful family pet gone!
Such a shame, but you did have him for a lot longer than normal to enjoy.

My heart goes out to you and you family Phil...

I know you are dealing with a big empty spot right now. Our old dog Lefty (16) died this past weekend, and we sure do miss her. She was a sled dog reject, from one of our local mushers, and boy was she FAST in her prime, happy and friendly, too. Our walk-in-the-woods buddy, a thousand times over. She would have liked your Blaze.

So sorry to hear of your loss, I bet the Casita seems real empty right now. It wasn't the same for us either when we lost our Lab over a year ago, but Frida, whom we adopted last spring has helped to fill the void. Our hearts go out to you.

It leaves a huge hole in our lives when they go. Cherish the memories -- they soothe the pain.

We've lost two in our family this winter. And it seems that quite a few have moved on from MFROG this winter. I can't help but think they have an egg parked at the Rainbow Bridge. (gotta keep out of the rain somehow)

We, too, hope your wonderful memories will help heal your pain & sense of loss ... Blaze will always be with you in that way and nothing can take that away. Robert B is so right when he says they wrap themselves around our hearts. Thanks for posting the lovely pics of your good friend, and we hope you will welcome another pup to fill those large paw-prints. We can't imagine life without a canine companion ... and after all, no outfit or decor is complete without dog hair!

And to Connie M, our condolences on having to say "Adios" to your Lefty - d'you think she will try to tug that Egg at the Rainbow Bridge? Take care all and cherish every moment! L 'n D

Thank you for the happy images. The idea of Lefty hitched up to our Trill makes me smile. Or maybe with a whole team of sled dogs pulling a teeny tiny egg in the Iditarod on the way to Nome.
