I took my
Burro to Leonard Harrison State Park in the Wellsboro PA area this past weekend to do the Pine Creek Challenge ultramarathon.
When we pulled into the campground, my husband spotted another egg up ahead, starting to park. We pulled around the loop and realized we'd be in the spot right across from them...cool!
And even more cool...it was a Parkliner! I've been dying to see one of those in person!
And double extra cool...its owners were smiling and waving! We all came together to say hello and make introductions, and of course I said "are you guys on the FGRV board?" and they said "Yep!" -- It was Brian and Nancy from NY. They were on their way to the flight 93 memorial.
They generously gave Christian and me a look around their trailer, which I thought was just beautifully made. I'm
sold (though it's going to be quite some years before we're ready to upgrade).
Anyway, I managed to finish the ultra in under 20 hours and spent all of yesterday dazed at the campground, alternately sleeping and staggering around the loop to keep my muscles from entirely seizing up. So I was very happy to learn that it's an exceptionally quiet campground! And situated right on the eastern rim of the gorge, so it's a very short walk from the campsites to a gorgeous view.
