Info on Minit trailer

We bought a Minit (1972) camp trailer serial #249, we have done a complete frame-up restoration. We have very little information about these campers, apparently only 500 were built, it is so rare that the State of Oregon would not let us to title it as a Minit and we had to title it as a Scamp. We are interested to know about how many of these are in existence of the original run of 500. There is almost no information available on the manufacturer.
Any information would be appreciated.

to FiberglassRV.

WOW! Titling a trailer as being built by a different manufacturer seems really fishy to me! WOW, wow, wow. I think the 'clerk' at DMV was lazy. I know of one other Oregon Minit, doubtful Chris had to title his trailer as a Scamp! Unfortunately Chris sold his Chubby Bunny several years ago and is no longer active on FiberglassRV, otherwise he might be able to help you.

Here's some manufacturing info: Manufactured in Hawaiian Gardens, California on Centralia Rd. by "Beta Design Company."

Hello and welcome to the Minit tribe.

I have a 1973 licensed in washington #233. I would love to see any photos

Agreed. I would be concerned about potential headaches down the road (pun intended) with the wrong manufacturer listed on the title. We have "EggCamper" listed as the manufacturer on our trailer's title, even though less than 200 were ever made. On legal documents, accuracy matters. I'd see about getting your title corrected.

We have a '73 Minit

We have a '73 Minit in Arizona, its from California, we haven't registered it yet here in AZ, because it still has its original plates from California in '73. Our serial number is 259

in 1974 Beta Design and the Minit was bought by a Perris Pacer in temecula, CA. Its possible to find pictures of some Perris Pacer trailers from 1974 that still say Minit on top. Perris Pacer continued to make the trailers until 1990 or around there. But they dropped the Minit name.

PaulNevi. You found my Lucy. I bought her in Los Angeles in 2014 and ended up going a different route with my camping. I loved that trailer and I was just missing her and see she’s with you now. Congratulations!! I hope the trailer is doing well and seeing the country!

Lucy was in an accident and is getting repaired.

I was going camping, and right after I hooked her up, I tested the brakes and the entire axle ripped out from under her like in a cartoon and stayed in the same spot while I drug her about 10 feet.
