Interesting Weather Map

If you want to check the weather at several places just move your cursor around and conditions for each weather station pop up.

I like this. I can instantly check to see that it's -20 at North Bay, Canada, where my son will be stationed with the USAF next month. They will need a slight adjustment from the 51 they're enjoying in San Antonio today.

Omaha was one of my favorite assignments, even though I had to install a block heater on our van and plug it in some nights, and parked our camper in the garage to avoid having to winterize it.

John,

Were you in the military here?

I'm so glad Bean is in a garage storage unit---last year (when it was parked outside) we would drive by to make sure the roof was OK, or stop and clean it off.

Actually, I'm from originally from Lawrence, KS and their weather isn't any better either (at least this weekend!) Daughter is trying to get us to move to Fresno---just checked their temp---46--hmmm could go for something just a bit warmer! This map is pretty cool---southern Texas is looking nice!

Yep, I was at Offutt AFB for 8 years. When I came back from overseas I filled in the standard "dream sheet" and made the following wishes in order;
1. Kelly AFB TX
2. San Antonio area
3. State of TX
4. Southern US
5. SE US
7. East coast
8. West coast

So, naturally, the military assigned me to Omaha, NE!

Two of our four children started life in Bellevue, NE.

Gee---I'm sure glad they listen to the hopes of our heroes

When my husband was finishing Army training waaaaay back in 1971, he was supposed to be stationed in Germany. At the last minute they switched the groups and his went to Viet Nam---surprise
