Is this crazy?

From the first time I saw a Scamp 19' 5er they somehow struck me as resembling a mini submarine. I bought an older 1984 model and the finish is awful so I'm thinking of painting it. Whenever I'm around it I find myself humming "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles. So Yep I'm thinking of painting it bright Yellow. Would this be insane?

I never even thought of the Vegas angle. Are you insinuating that maybe Vegas is a little less "normal" than the rest of the world LOL!! Well you're right!

My very 1st experience with fiberglass trailers was 5 or 6 years ago at a RV show in Vegas. There I saw the new Oliver's. They had 3 of them and they were all painted. One was black, one was bright red, and the 3rd was blue. They were all done in a theme such as the Gambler with 4 kings painted on the back. I sure wish I had known then what I know now as the show price on any of the 3 was $13,000 fully equiped and customized. I can only imagine what they are worth now. By the way they didn't sell.

You could have some of the lyrics to the Yellow Submarine painted on the side. I was at a vintage trailer rally recently and one of the Sisters on the Fly had done her trailer up as a tribute to John Lennon on the outside. It was very cute!

Love it, very appropriate. Think it would look best with two shades of yellow

Nice Brian can you add a periscope. I have the old style with the propane tanks outside of the running gear which helps with the sub look. I'd probably go with black stripping and have a scamp sticker cut in black.

Hi: Steve Hammel... Groucho Marx said it best when asked if he'd like a ride in a submarine. "I ain't ridin' in no boat that sinks on porpoise"(sic).
Your Scamp should be a safer bet... but watch out for the boat ramps!!!

I would totally go for it. Our Scamp has a custom paint job and we are planning on adding Star Trek Next Generation decals!
