It's A Good Time to go Camping in the Northeast.

We are having an uncommon string of wall to wall sun shine days here in the northeast. In central VT the leaves are just popping out with daytime temps in the low 70's, low 40's at night. This weather is predicted to continue indefinitely. Many New York state campgrounds open this week end. In VT., Wilgus and Jamaica State parks are open. In N.H., Crawford Notch/ Dry River is listed as open as well as NFS Campton and Hancock campgrounds. There may be others. Check before you go. Also, be aware things are very dry and the risk of wild fires is listed as high. This is very rare for us so please be careful. Raz

p.s. This time of year you could very well have the campground to yourself!

We got an early start to the garden. Peas, Cole crops and onions are in. Potatoes next. We were going to head south for a week but it's much nicer here. Be aware, it's about to get cold because I'm putting my tomatoes in.

Mary is near Conway NH and says the bugs are terrible, can't stand to be outside. Down home here just south of Albany NY it's nice and warm, no bugs. That'll teach her to wander north. I imagine the black flies are real bad in the Adirondaks about now.

We've had 70's once or twice here in northern Wi. Beautiful! 39 today with rain. Don't consider this awesome area until June.

Sounds like you're getting excited about camping. I hope you're heading out soon and have a great time.
