Kodiak Campers - Two Questions

Someone claims that the Kodiak 5th wheel before 2008 was made by Bigfoot. True/False?

Also claims it was clamshell construction. True/False?

Thanks,

Perry

I have a Bigfoot brochure from 1994 that shows photos and specifications for a fifth wheel trailer and a motor home with "Fibercore wall system" that announces a joint venture between Bigfoot and Leisure Coachworks Ltd. I have never seen one, and can't find any other information.

Easy enough to tell how it was constructed. All the Kodiak fifth wheels I have seen were not clamshell design. They were the typical laminated side wall with a fiberglass outer coating.

Yes Bigfoot and Vernon Leisure Works did make the new 27 and 28ft fifth wheels in the late 80's. But they were of the fibercore wall system invented buy the owner of Bigfoot who was also the owner of Vernon Leisure Works. That is also where the motorhomes started in Bigfoot, which were first called Oaklands which came from Vernon Leisure Works also. And in 1996 I think the Oakland line was dropped but all models were now Bigfoots. But the big fifth wheels did not I guess sell and the models were dropped. And Bigfoot stayed with their clamshell models along with their motorhomes. I have pics if anyone would like to see the big fifth wheel.
