Lake Mead Recreation is doubling it's fees, including camping. You read the new fess here

Wow, the new walk in/Bike in $10.00 fee seems wrong to me. I guess public lands are no longer public.

The other fee's don't bother me. Camp grounds and boat ramps have to be built for the individuals to use them.
One way I guess to keep the riff raff out. no permit toss them out.

I am stunned with this and confused on where I actually stand.

The timing of the increase is unfortunate. Since the lake has gotten so low, it seems like the user experience must be significantly diminished. Don't know if it has affected the number of visitors, though. What say those who have been there recently?
