Boler, a Canadian company, licensed several US companies to make its trailers during the 70s. Land and Sea is a US made Boler.

Here is an old thread, from the old board (legacy post):

[b]New to the site and need info on Love Bug
Hello,
Just joined the group and wanted to say hi and try to get some info. I have owned a Love Bug for two years now, and don't know anything about its origin. It was made in 1973 in Tripoli, Iowa. Any Love Bug owners out there?

[b]Love Bugs
The Canadian Boler travel trailer is the predecessor of all the eggs. It's manufacturer licensed a number of North American companies, most now out of business, to produce Bolers under different names during the very early 1970s. During that era, the Love Bug, Eco, Land and Sea and other clone fiberglass trailers were produced. Those companies are all gone now. Most of the companies that went out of the egg business actually merged with larger companies that put more emphasis on larger trailers. The current manufacturers of egg derivative fiberglass trailers under 20 feet are Casita, Scamp and Trillium. Bigfoot recently stopped making a 13 foot trailer but still produces a 25 foot fiberglass trailer.

Old Boler Ads. (These were to large for me to post here asI don't know how to shrink a jpeg file.)

Thank you for those links. It is neat to see my Love Bug in print. Is Boler still around? I am trying to figure out how to get parts.

[b]Boler Parts
Although, Bolers are still on the road, the manufacturer is long gone. Some Scamp parts are interchangeable and a few Casita parts also.

Parts can be also obtained by posting on boards like this. If you look at the miscellaneous sales thread, someone is currently adveritising hinges and badges. Owners will sometimes get together on purchases. If you need 3 feet of a specific type of seam tape and they sell it in 200 foot lots, collaboration in the most cost effective way to achieve your goal. Check the links section our homepage also.

There is a board dedicated to Bolers. Their website contains a link to a Boler interactive forum. You have to register for the forum. It contains an archive as well as current Q&A and repair threads.

Hi Jamie!
Good to see you here! I'm sure we will find some other Love Bug trailer owners in the near future!

Most of the older molded fiberglass units were made from the same, if not similar molds. So I'm sure some of the folks here who have restored older rigs will have some advice.

About 6 years ago, in Kentucky, I camped next to an old Love Bug with one of my Casitas. I was amazed at how similar it was to my rig!

I haven't seen another one since ... so I was really glad to make the connection with you.

Come back often, ok? How about posting some pictures of your little fiberglass wonder!

[b]Tweetie and the love bug

Hi Jamie, Welcome to the club!
I have a 1976 13'Boler and from your photos i can see only one design difference that is my furnace is below the sink .I have the same converter panel, mine has a square 12v socket which I can't figure out, it is behind a blue cover about 1" square. If you can tell me how to use it 'd be happy to know or any other Boler owners who know?
One day I hope I'll be able to take pics like that!
