layout question 2015 Spirit Deluxe 17

Hello
I plan to look at a 2015 Spirit Deluxe 17 next week. Can someone tell me if the double bed can be removed and a small single sleeping space can be used instead? I have a very large dog that requires floor space to be comfortable and that's what I'm hoping to create. The dog likes the floor, not a bed.

You can’t remove the dinette benches, no. There are various utilities inside. You could set aside the large table and use a board to make a narrow single bed across the back wall, leaving the aisle between the benches free for the dog. You’ll have to see if that’s enough space.

You might be able to remove some or all of the side dinette to make more floor space. That would be easier with the Freedom layout.

Update.... further research tells me that distance is somewhere between 25 - 28 inches.

Yes. One of my friends did that on her Casita Spirit Deluxe and then she added a lagun type table so that she and her sister could sit across from each other using the remaining bench seat space.

The sister makes up a bed on the side dinette and my friend sleeps on the "short bed" at the back of the Casita.
