Nope! We brought the van AND the Volvo. The van towed our Snipe, which we have
for sale, and carried the little El Toro on the nifty wooden rack hubby customized on top.
That shade is one of those triangular things from Costco, 13x13x13... you would think it's just the right size for a 10' trailer, but getting the second and third corners tied down at a proper angle is Very Difficult. See my sunburn? No, you can't. The second tie down is pretty easy also, but the third one has to be at just the right angle or everything hangs. Hence you see that big drape, which is actually happening toward the rear of the van, not over me as it appears in the photo.
About two hours later it occurred to me that I could do a "handygirl" hack. I wadded up a handful of plastic shopping bags into a tight ball. Twisted them into a little bundle under the
awning fabric right at the roofline of the van. Hooked a shower curtain ring around that. Tied cord to the ring. Tied other end of cord to the mast support of our boat in the next bay over.
Viola. No more droop!
Shoulda taken a picture of that.
But I was too hot and we were out of beer.
