I'm 64 and I grew up back in the 50's and 60's and things were a heck of a lot different then, (read "old school,") and I've never been accused of being "thin skinned" nor "politically correct." I can take it, and also poke fun at, anyone and anything with the best of them, but especially disturbing over the last several years is a growing trend towards creating new descriptive and divisive "pigeonholes" for everyone which we as a society seem to feel an urgent need for. Why? When all it serves to do is further separate and divide us rather than bring people together. It only drives wedges between different parts of our society. Are we, as a society, that insecure in who we are as individuals that we need to create new labels for anyone and everyone who wants to be "different" in some way or other? We're just becoming too politically correct.
That aside, you go girls! Glamp Away!
