This was the view from the back of my camp, Cape San Blas, Florida. Dawn's soft early light on the pond and spartina grass, together with a healthy helping of clouds turned this scene into a perfect dose of 'Florida Wild'.
Steve, we've seen that same view quite a number of times. Probably not from the exact same spot but close enough. Been quite a few years but wife & I used to go to that area every Oct/Nov. We'd alternate between the commercial campground at Indian Pass & St Joseph Peninsula SP. Have spent many mornings scalloping in St Joseph Bay & oystering in Apalachicola bay, or casting for reds at the 'stump hole'. Used to wade the edges of the grass casting for specks or reds. Been getting too expensive for casual camping for quite a few years now.
Harvey, this was St. Joe Peninsula SP. It came at the end of a month of camping out west with my ,new to me, Oliver trailer, which I picked up in Utah.

Thanks Steve. Enjoy your stay. I've probably seen that same view as I believe we've utilized nearly every 'bayside' campsite at the SP at one time or another. Been a lotta years since we were there. Think the last time we had to pack up in a hurry & 'run' from Hurricane Juan, or maybe not. We've ran from several 'late season' hurricanes, sometimes hard to keep 'em straight...
