Art, our political system is based on many parties. In the next general election (parlement, nov 22) 17 parties participate. One of them is party 11, Party for the Animals (Partij voor de dieren). Their main concern is the (ab)use of animals in p.e. bio-industry, vivisection, .....
The cow is still a national symbol, more or less.
