Motorcycle??
This may be a dumb question.... but has anyone ever figured out how to bring along their motorcycle while towing their camper?
I am preparing for a Michigan to Texas trip and was hoping I could bring my bike but haven't figured on how yet. So I just thought I would ask, just encase someone had.

MudFrog - You didn't say if it's a street bike or dirt bike, but if it is a dirt bike and you have not been in Tx. before, you will not find much public land to ride. There are a few commercial places but no BLM type land to ride trails. Our smart legislators even made it illegal to ride most river waterways. They said they polute the waters even more than outboard motors. Some commercial places have rivers running through them and it is off limits to even wash the mud off in the rivers. But it happens, if you know what I mean... But if you have a street bike, this is all moot anyway.

cycle?
Truck bed? I've seen several just this summer w dirt type or 'dual sport' types in the bed..of course this does not apply to 5th wheelers.
WE haul our two kayaks ON the truck bak-Flip w a full load in the bed..of course this means we cannot open out TG to unhitch unless we pack carefully ;-) That btw was one reason for buying the loong bed Frontier we did. WE sold our Casita last month and plan to haul our kayaks while towing the E21 we ordered.

Truck bed or cargo van. I don’t see many other alternatives. There’s just no way to hang a motorcycle of any size on the trailer, front or back, without upsetting the weight distribution and/or overloading the lightweight frame.

I place my 1998 Honda VT1100 in the bed of our truck with a cap on it. I had mounted a heavy piano hinge on one side of the cap/bed, and attached a gas strut nearest the cab to assist in tilting the cap out of the way to load/unload the bike. An ATV winch mounted in the truck bed pulls the bike up my wide folding ramps into the bed back wards. I have to place the bike at an angle as it is 8’4”. To unload I simply ride it down the ramps.
Best of luck in your endeavors.

PS Mudfrog, I am at the Algonac Rally right now. Where are you located?

I think the MyPod (a fiberglass teardrop) is designed to be pulled by a motorcycle.

Towing a fiberglass trailer there's only two ways I know to do it, in the bed of a pickup, or a rack on the front that fits a 2" receiver. The front way works for the lighter weight bike (200 lbs. or less), but then again you have to look at it all the time you are driving. I've ridden dual sports bikes of all sizes, but a year ago I pretty much decided my motorcycle days were over after 50 years of riding. Now I sometime wish I had a small bike like a Yamaha TW 200 to run around the camping ground, etc. I'm also thinking an electric bike which I could carry on the trailers bike rack, I would be within the weight limits of the rack and the trailer. I personally never combined the two, camping and motorcycle riding, it was always one or the other, with the family, or with the guys.

Moto?
I switched away from motorcycles and scooters to a folding 20" fat tire electric bicycle, and simply put it in the back of my tow car.

Right now, I have a InTech all aluminum RV. Very basic with a/c and a Propex forced air furnace. No bathroom or plumbing of any kind.
The selling point for me was I can roll one or 2 (maybe 3 small) motorcycles in the trailer.
I'll probably one day get a single axle Bigfoot or Casita. I'd most likely have a Honda CT or Super Cub in the truck bed to scratch the MC itch.

I simply ride my Goldwing and communicate with my wife driving the motor home and now our Casita by CB radio or cell phone to open and close lanes for her.

I made an adapter for the front tongue. I only use the adapter when I want to bring my bike. Takes about 15 minutes to install.

Garry, I wish you all the best with that setup, but I'm worried for your safety.
