I was thinking something along those lines for now...are you using an inverter?

I plug into shore power, so no issue using 110v appliances. If I wasn't, I have a 12v recepticle that I'd plug a small inverter into.

Bluetooth portable speaker like Mighty Dwarf. Google it, I can't seem to get the hyperlink to take with Java disabled.

A small Ihome ipod dock that zips up and stows away very small - but pretty good sound for its size. I can move it inside or out as needed - picked it up at Costco a couple of years ago. Also a small transistor radio I can move around to find good reception in remote areas.

Windows Media Player on my Laptop with external (to the laptop) speakers and/or headphones. My entire CD library is ripped to my hard drive. When boondocking I have a separate group 27 battery dedicated to a 300 watt inverter, that is recharged by my solar panels. It is only used to power the TV/VCR and my laptop computer.

We don't have an ipod, but we do have XM satelite radio for our tow vehicle, and move the unit into the trailer where we have a "boombox" style docking system run off from an inverter (we have solar to keep the battery charged). The insulating reflective bubble wrap under the rat fur blocks the signal, so the antenna had to be placed between the vent screen and the plastic dome cover.

Bose sound system with additional i-pod dock/charging port. i-pod is loaded with and capable of playing many pictures. Also have a 17" laptop loaded with enough tunes to last a four day excursion and not hear the same tunes repeated. It also is loaded with a gazillion pictures and has a t.v. program loaded to watch (local weather) stations when away from home, .....but then again, there is nothing more pleasureable to me than spending hours gazing into the lipid pools of the TRAILER Goddess' eyes....

'SHE' is watching me type this, isn't she???

Im debateing between a boombox that has a port to plug my ipod into, and that could plug into 12volt (no batteries)so I could bring it outside if need be, or a car stereo that has an accesories port to plug my ipod into...I have a good amount of music so would be nice to hear it more lol
