Larry, I LOVE the Monty Python movies! Sorry Chester, I like everything BUT gospel. Rap and country are usually not things I chose to listen to either.

I love classical, instrumental, world music, folk, blue grass and soft rock. My favorite group right now is a young group of blue grass musicians called Nickel Creek.

Nancy

I can see we are to have a problem here , Nancy. I thought we could camp together sometime, but Classical?? no country? or gospel. I like some gospel. mainly the old ones I grew up with. the one that comes into my head at the strangest times is *Farther Along*. :conf must like the melody. Ones I enjoy off and on are Indian drum songs. (of course) it is very soothing.

Over the Rainbow

That is my favorite song. I have different versions done by of course Judy, the hawiaan guy who died Isreal, and one of the best by Eva Cassidy.

Overall I like alternative chick music. Sarah Mc Lughlin, Jewel, Tory Amos, Indigo Girls, Norah Jones, Natalie Merchant, Ani Defranco, Dixie Chicks, Mary Chapan Carpenter, all the ones that did Lilith Fair I went to 3 of them. To many to name but lets just say I like chick music the best.

Also like some Jazz Ella, Sarah and the new one that did that Live in Paris album. I like going to Boarders or Barnes and Nobel getting coffee then go around and listen to music for about 2 hours. Keep up on all the new stuff.

Nah, Jana, we can still camp together. I do love the REALLY, REALLY old gospel stuff that my mom calls hillbilly music, like the music that was on the movie Brother, Where Art Thou. I like anything that is played in person on guitar or fiddle. We love drumming. My husband plays a Native American flute.

No I don't believe I have, MB. (thank goodness) *this sounds like a joke, Morgan*

fogot somthing.
The movie, Bothers, caused my love of that music to resurface. I'd forgot how much I liked that stuff.

my favorite notes

I just have to speak up for all of us who like musicals. La, LA, la, la.:banana
Mostly I like anything I can sing along to, especially songs from the 60's! Which is why in the car and RV I can't play those things, because I can't stop myself from breaking into song. :feet We like those classics with Nature Sounds added, and I play New Age at dinner at home and whenever there is a group in the house. :chatter Pleasant and non-obtrusive.

But also we love country! Especially after traveling so much and hearing it on the radio all the time. Then I discovered CMT, country music television!

Native American music intrigues me. And I love fiddle playing.
Hm, what DON'T I LIKE? - rap, acid rock. :nope

I always thought the title was Drop Kick Me JesusThrough The Goal Posts Of Life.

Maybe thats the first line.

I think I could like rap - IF i knew what they were saying. I'm afraid I'd be listening to something about killing or raping someone and not even know it. :crazy-ii. that is what I think some of them are about. hope I'm wrong.

they sell flute music with birds in the background. one was so bird heavy I could not hear the fute. now those I don't like. flute music is very restful. takes control to get it right. way to go Mr Nancy.

Suz Belle,

I think that's the first line. I don't really know, I downloaded it from the late Napster. It goes something like:

Drop kick me, Jesus
Through those righteous uprights
End over end, neither left nor to the right
...

JJ was right, it must be a joke.

Morgan - Nope, that's the full title best I can recollect (and according to what I found). It's a country and western song. I'll double check my facts. Meantime, check this out.

One of my all time favorite country songs is Hey Lala by The Country Gentlemen.

I don't like the newer country music, but that old stuf from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s is good listening.

One of my favorite albums is Odes to Irene Papas by Vangelis.

I like all of Ludwig von Beethoven's music.

I dislike Rap and the later rock music. I like the original rock and roll from the 50s and 60s.

I like New Orleans Jazz and some other jazz like Coltrane.

I like most Bluegrass.

Favorites

Just about anything by The Neville Brothers, although their old Wild Tchoupitoulas collaboration with The Meters is probably my absolute favorite.
