my first one

hi there glad i found this site....i have been thinking of building my own..but specs are hard to come bye.....but anyway...i have been lookimg around for a boler for awhile now and now 2 just popped up...a 17' with bathroom furnace fridge awning....stove...but no air..for 7000 o.b.o canadian....and a 8' with a fridge and a stove for 1700 o.bo..but it only has 2 really small single beds...good for me when i am hunting but not good when the girl is with me.....so my question is are those prices reasonable...and what should i offer......oh yeah they are both 1978 and the 17' the fiberglass is thinning out on it and the 8' is in some ugly shape.....

now i said i wanted to build one but am having a hard time finding specs if anybody has some that would be great...and it is not the cost it is the fun of building things thati enjoy....thank you keith

Hi Keith
Welcome to this forum.

I have a 17ft Boler 1978 and a 13 ft Boler 1972.

The big one I paid $6100.00 for it.It is same as one you described.

The small Boler I got was in terrible shape and I paid $300.00.

All Money in Cdn funds.

It all depends on how bad you want one.:wave

Keith,

Glen-L, one of the really big dogs in boat plan sales, also sells a several plans for trailers. They sure aren't eggs, though. Not even fiberglass:

And there's some teardrop plans that just ache to be modernized:

if Ches paid 6100 and they are asking 7000 for that one, I say it's pretty close. These trailer prices don't go down at that age. if you like it, and it fits the family size and everything works, I'd go with that one. but that is more money outlay :huh

The price of the 13's not that bad either. cheaper then I paid for my 75. but you did say it was ruff. :conf I don't know then. :)

wait a minute. fiberglass doesn't thin with age. maybe the gelcoat?
