I almost feel guilty...but no! I bought a Scamp 13 yesterday from a 20? somthing year old couple for 600 bucks I am not age discriminating but they didnt have the scamp cleaned at all didnt mention it had all the original paper work order forms all the owners manuals on all the equipment inside wiring diagrams etc. Plus they forgot to mention the factory installed air conditioning the built in jacks the rock guard the extra window over the stove the factory installed awning I could go on but I would just be bragging...(ok maybe a little) I really went to see it in the blind and thought it would be junk. Now dont get me wrong it needs its share of odds and ends and elbow grease, but I am amazed with the internet and google today and being the age they were they wouldnt have done a little research. Or at very least read the some of the paper work left in the trailer and know it had tons of add ons from the factory, and put that stuff in the add. I have already raised my own kids and just didnt feel like a teaching session. So I gave them the 600.00 and smiled and drove away hoping there are more young folks out there who obviousley dont know or possible care about the value of things.

There may be many reasons why they sold it for such a cheap rate: they needed the money and didn't want to haggle; they were given the trailer and so any sale price was profit; they truly just wanted to be rid of it; they weren't into asking every penny for what it might have been worth; they were taking pity on someone older; or they were just clueless. Sounds like a good deal... enjoy!

I did forget to mention they also lived in 500 thousand dollar plus, pool home in Miami and honestly I am sure that this little camper did not look good behind the Hummer with the 22 inch chrome rims in the driveway, they also had a house full of workers installing new granite tile and crown molding when I bought it.

Or maybe it was a "HOT" deal in more ways than one ...
On Edit:
Never mind, just read your additional post on the $500K Miami home. It still makes one wonder though.

It probably did not look right being towed behind the Hummer. It doesn't float or fly.

When I was a lot younger I once sold a VW Fastback for $250 because the local AutoTrader would not allow me to list it for less than that price. I later kicked myself for not asking for more, but the truth was all I wanted outta the vehicle was the cost of the last water pump I'd had installed. I was pretty sick of the thing! There's a lot more my story, just like there probably is plenty more to theirs.

Ye gads and little fishes. Some people just fall into it.
BTW, did I mention I won my first car from a radio station?
Salud, amigo.

What they didn't tell ya was that you just transported a load of drugs that was removed later that night after you parked it and went to bed by the crew that was awaiting the shipment.
You got a $600 camper in pretty good condition, they made 1.2 mil street value.....
Just kidding, I hope. Nice find!

It wouldn't surprise me if the sellers didn't check NADA for pricing. I mean, the Scamp is 21 years old... it has to be junk doesn't it?
